The Martingale System:
The earliest and the simplest craps betting system is the Martingale system. In this betting system there are higher risks involved as the player can lose in a row. To understand this system, consider that when the craps player places a bet, he has the chances of winning it or losing it. If he wins he will restart with another bet but in case if he loses, he will have to go for doubling his bet. Every time a player lost, he has to place the next bet of a double amount of his last lost bet. The theory is simple suggesting that by doing so the player has the chance of winning till the end but it is much riskier because if you reach the house limit or if you run out of bucks you will lose all you have without any chance of gaining it back. Moreover, it requires large sum of money at your disposal to go for the Martingale system.
The Paroli System:
The Paroli Craps Betting System is exactly the opposite of the Martingale system. The Paroli Betting System allows you to double your bet upon winning and not when you lose the game. Now it’s up to the player how much he wants to increase on the next bet. Moreover deciding the amount of the next bet after winning the first one also depends upon the craps game type.
Upon comparing these two craps betting systems you will also agree that the Paroli system is much easier to go with. It allows the players to enjoy the game rather than worrying about winning the bet as the player has already lost and is placing even higher bet in an anticipation of winning. Moreover, the Paroli betting system doesn’t require the player to have huge bankroll and keep on losing emptying their pockets despite of the fact that they are not winning the game. The Paroli system keeps the game fun for the player whereas the Martingale system creates tension if the player is losing the game. If your purpose is just to enjoy your time at the casino you should go for the Paroli betting system. For some interesting reading, take a look at Las Vegas casinos history.
